Kindred Youth

A Hangout for Trans & Gender-Expansive Teens (ages 15-18)

Kindred Youth is a weekly space to kick back, connect, and be around other trans and gender-expansive teens who get it. Think: a mix of real talk, mutual hype, shared wisdom, games, art, and the occasional “wow, same” reaction.

This community-focused group meets weekly on Wednesday afternoons in SE Portland.

Group Description

Some weeks we dive into identity, friendships, school stuff, or big feelings. Other weeks we’re making things with our hands, playing low-pressure games, or just hanging out and letting the room decide what it needs. There’s no script and no pressure, just a steady place to build community with people figuring things out right alongside you.

Things you can expect from this group:

  • Supportive, affirming environment

  • Gentle and kind facilitation

  • Activities and discussion that foster connection and build confidence

  • Fun, humor, and levity!
